Rim Locks
What is a Rim lock? Rim locks are door locks and latches that are fitted onto the outside of a door. A great period feature in black and brass, and now chrome rim locks are available for a more contemporary look. For Bathrooms there are Bathroom Rim Latches that have a brass door bolt, and in some cases a turn and release to allow access in an emergency. These locks do require a specific type of door knob or Rim Lock Furniture which can be found in our Door Knob Category. For Insurance purposes on a front door it is advisable to fit a suitably rated additional lock, such as a 5 lever dead lock.
