Escape door locks are mortice locks that can be locked using a key or cylinder and turn, but can be unlocked in the same manner, or, by operating the door handle from the inside of the room. There are a number of variations including cylinder mortice escape deadlocks and escape night latches, but all work in a similar way. These locks are availiable in euro profile or oval profile, and some are availiable with 72mm center to center of cylinder and spindle to comply with Document M Building Regulations for disabled users or those with reduced manual dexterity.
